Bowers Site Update
WILTSHIRE Council have said that it has no plans whatsoever to buy the Bowyers site in Trowbridge.
Frustration has been growing over the lack of development that has taken place since Innox Mills bought the derelict site in 2016.
Residents are keen to see leisure and retail facilities built there, but as nothing has happened in years, rumours were circulating that Wiltshire Council were looking to buy the site, something the authority denies.
A Wiltshire Council spokesperson said: “There are no plans to purchase the site but we regularly keep in contact with agents for the site to see how it is progressing.” A spokesman for Innox Mills added: “Wiltshire Council is not buying the site nor has it approached us about this.”
